Benefits Of Pull Ups
Strength Benefits Of Pull Ups
This is a stroy about how I found out about the benefits of pull ups.
Join along as I explain to you not just the benefits but all the details surrounding pull ups.
Why are pull ups so good for you?
A pull up is a great upper body strengthening, compound movement.
It involves pulling resistance on the muscles.
We use are entire upper body to preform this movement as we lift the body up to the bar.
Not only do all of these muscle get worked but all of the smaller individual muscle do as well.
Forcing the body to pull up will ensure that we are working and strengthening them.
When muscle are stimulated they grow overtime.
How do I know about pull ups?
I’ve literally done millions of pulls ups, many of which I was carry a machine gun as added weight.
Before every meal, 3 times a day it was required that we do 20.
That equals 60 a day!
In addition to that add the weight of a heavy machine gun made it more challaging.
Why do you think soldiers are so fit?
Its all about the pull ups!
Ok it’s about other things as well but these are one of the stepping stone to fitness.
It’s rare that we regularly work the upper body enough but this is how you can start doing it.
That’s Not All..
Advantages Of Pull Up Exercises
Muscle Benefits Of Pull Ups
This list will be a long one because the benefits go further then just muscle gains and strength.
The health benefits of what these do for the body are greater then one part.
I still do pulls ups everyday because of the benefits of pull ups.
Do pull ups help build muscle?
Both using bodyweight and a large amount of muscle groups we utilize both.
We are training the body to overall strengthen itself by preforming this movement.
You can do them with just body weight or added weight.
My experience is unlike many others but getting fit at home is easier then ever.
Anywhere you can hang on and do a pull up is somewhere you can get better.
Do pull ups increase strength?
A heavy load on the muscles stimulates them to grow bigger.
As we train we tear and exhaust the weak old muscle.
Pull ups benefits include core strength, functional strength while also strengthen the upper body.
If you want a better body this is a great place to start.
During recovery the body rebuilds and repairs this muscle with stronger muscle fibers.
The benefits of pull ups doesn’t stop here not yet!
The more we do the body will grow overtime so we can meet that demand.
How many pull ups should I do in a day?
Start with seeing how many you can do as a benchmark.
Then continue to add volume in the form of repetition and sets.
The fitter we get and the more we do the better the body is conditioned.
There’s Is More..
Health Benefits Of Pull Ups
Benefits Of Pull Ups Every Day
Because you will be strength training as well as resistance training we get the benefits of both.
My goal has always been to help others make better health choices.
Regardless of what it is nutrition or training, I want everyone to get healthier.
When we preform exercises like pull ups these are the benefits of doing so.
- Improved muscle strength and tone
- Protect your joints from injury
- Maintaining flexibility and balance
- Weight management and increased muscle-to-fat ratio
- As you grow stronger, you won’t get tired
- Prevention or control of chronic conditions including
- Heart disease
- Improved mobility and balance
- Increased bone density and reduced risk of osteoporosis
- Improved sense of wellbeing
- Boost Self Confidence
- Enhanced performance of everyday tasks
- Improve body image and your mood
These are all the things regular exercise can do for our overall health.
It’s about more then just building “bigger muscles” which we will be doing anyway.
It not just about “burning calories” and making sure you “get protein”.
Our actual health and life expectancy hang in the balance.
It not always just about how we look.
How many calories do you burn doing 100 pull ups?
One pull up is said to burn one calories.
This means 100.
I hope this is good new to you and doesn’t discourage anyone.
All this means is we need to do more!
The fitter and stronger we get the more the body can preform.
Can doing pull ups everyday build muscle?
With practice and daily work towards getting stronger the muscle will have to grow because of the work load.
Different Pull Up Types
Advantages Of Pull Up Exercises
Always switching the exercise we preform is important in keeping our nervous system guessing.
Trying and utilizing different types also ensures that we use differnt muscles and invigorate all groups.
Keep the nervous system guessing by trying these 3 different types.
Build different muscles with every different type for the best overall functionality.
Hammer pull ups (neutral grip)
Neutral grip pullups are one the easiest putting pressure more on the muscles then the joints.
I really enjoy these because of the concentration on the biceps and forearms.
Genetically my arms are sometimes a weak spot so I used these to train them.
Since my back is a strong part of mine I make sure to switch it up.
How advanced are you with your training?
Wide grip pull ups
Wide grip puts more resistance on the outside of the back and on the inner parts of the arms.
If you want huge lats and a wide back this is how you get it!
The way that the body distributes our weight when we preform the exercise is what makes it work.
Reverse grip (Chin Up)
This one is a hybrid of the other two.
Traditionally it works the same muscle groups but in a different function range.
Why are pull ups so good for you?
They provide us with the resistance that we need to build a better, stronger physique.
This is for our overall health and more then that our livelihood.
Without strength training and better nutrition I would still be obese.
These things changed my life and many others.
Fitness is about doing so to get the benefits of pull ups we have to tae the action..
No matter what level you are it is possible to start training today.
If not today when?
How Can You Actually Use This?
Pull Up Training Program
Pull Up Exercise Training
The Ultimate Pull-Up Program is now over 200 pages in length!
Without using anything other than what you were born with,
you can have it all.
Pull ups are what the US Army uses to get soldiers ready to fight.
They’re what I used to get into “tip top” shape for combat.
Us Army approved and Veteran Approved.
Fighters and athletes have been using them for years for good reason.
It’s hard to find a workout without a form of pull up becasue they’re are necessary for correct training.
This training guide is so you can be part of it all:
1. Improve your pull-up technique, so you can perform them efficiently.
2. Improve your upper body strength, so reaching the bar isn’t so daunting and intimidating.
3. Improve your upper body muscle tone/hypertrophy, so you have the ability to perform many pull-ups.
4. Improve your scapular and shoulder controlled mobility, so you can travel to and from the bar with no fear.
5. Improve your grip strength, so you have the hang time needed to perform multiple reps and sets.
6. Improve your core and glute strength, so you leave yourself with no weak links.
7. Improve your lower body strength, so your glutes, quads, and hamstrings are stronger than they’ve ever been and don’t hold you back.
Knowing that you want to start training starts with doing it.
Remember this is about the health benefits as much as about the “muscles”.
We must start the training for it to be effective.
Today is the day we decide to change and start going for it!
